PORPHIS PDG-02 Digital Diaphragm Air Regulator
The Perfect Finish Pro Combo is designed for painters who want one dedicated spray gun for base coat and another for clear coat.
Separating the two coating stages helps reduce cross-contamination, minimizes repeated cleaning and adjustment, and allows each spray gun to remain set up for its specific material.
It is ideal for automotive refinishing, full-panel repairs, full-car painting, custom paintwork, and advanced DIY projects.
Base coat and clear coat require different atomization, fluid delivery, and application techniques.
A dedicated base coat gun helps provide even color distribution and better control of metallic or pearl orientation. A dedicated clear coat gun can be adjusted for smoother material delivery, better flow, and higher gloss.
Keeping the materials separate also reduces the risk of residual color contaminating the clear coat.
Choose based on your project size, finish expectations, and budget.
• Premium professional setup: PRD-817 1.3mm + PRD-815 1.2mm or 1.3mm — recommended for full-car refinishing and high-end finish work.
• Best-value professional setup: PRD-717 1.3mm or 1.4mm + PRD-715 1.2mm or 1.3mm — recommended for professional repairs, complete panels, and regular shop use.
• Budget-friendly setup: PRD-627 1.3mm + PRD-625, PRD-626, PC-415, or PC-416 1.3mm — recommended for general repairs, smaller shops, and advanced DIY painters.
1.2mm: Best for lower-viscosity base coats, fine metallic control, and lighter fluid delivery.
1.3mm: The most versatile choice for most automotive base coats and clear coats.
Always follow the coating manufacturer’s technical data sheet and viscosity recommendations.
Many of the selectable spray guns are capable of spraying more than one coating type.
However, this Combo is designed around dedicated use. We recommend assigning one gun to base coat and the other to clear coat to reduce cleaning time, prevent material contamination, and maintain repeatable settings.
Yes.
The Perfect Finish Pro Combo is suitable for full-panel and full-car base coat and clear coat application when paired with a compressor that can maintain the required airflow.
For full-car work, we recommend a professional combination such as the PRD-817 with the PRD-815, together with a properly sized compressor, clean air supply, moisture separator, and accurate inlet-pressure control.
The Combo includes one selected clear coat spray gun and one selected base coat spray gun.
The cups, service tools, adapters, and standard accessories supplied with each gun depend on the models and configurations selected.
Please review the selected options and the “Included in the Box” information before placing your order. Products displayed under recommended accessories are not included unless specifically stated.
Your compressor must provide enough continuous airflow for the selected spray guns at their recommended working pressure.
Check the required CFM of the selected model and compare it with the compressor’s delivered CFM—not only its tank size or maximum PSI.
For the best results, use: Compressor → main filter and regulator → air hose → moisture filter → gun-inlet pressure regulator → spray gun.
Always set the inlet pressure while the trigger is fully pulled.
Yes.
Eligible PORPHIS products include a 1-year limited warranty covering qualifying manufacturing defects. The Combo is also covered by the applicable PORPHIS return policy.
Normal wear, accidental damage, improper cleaning, cured coating inside the fluid passage, and damage caused by incompatible parts or incorrect operation are not covered.
